SQA Exams 2007 - Student Evaluation

A sample of 100 students were given a questionnaire in June 2007 to find out what students thought of the organisation of the exams.

The main results were:

Aspect	Approval Rating
Timetable information given out before the exams - dates, times, places etc.	93%
The information given by teachers so that I knew which exams, levels, papers to sit.	90%
The exam accommodation - heating, lighting, noise, layout of seating etc.	47%
The invigilators - efficient, helpful, unobtrusive, etc.	90%
Arrangements when not in an exam, e.g. access to Library and Dining Hall.	80%

The main area of concern was the third point - accommodation. Although some of the issues raised may prove beyond the powers of the school to deal with - e.g. seagulls - priority will be given to making improvements where possible for 2008.
